Flake ice machine is a kind of ice machine, generally mostly industrial ice machine. The ice produced is in the form of flakes. Flake ice can be made from fresh water or salt water. Flake ice is thin, dry, loose white ice with a thickness of 10 mm to 15 mm, an irregular plane shape, and a diameter of about 12 to 45 mm. Flake ice has no sharp edges and corners, and will not stab frozen objects. It can enter the gap between the objects to be cooled, reduce heat exchange, maintain the temperature of ice, and have a good moisturizing effect. Flake ice has an excellent cooling effect. The biggest feature of the flake ice machine is that the ice is fast, the amount is large, and the output is directly crushed ice. Therefore, it is mainly used in various large-scale refrigeration facilities, food quick-freezing, concrete cooling and so on.
Flake Ice Maker Working Principle
The water enters the water distribution tray from the water inlet of the evaporator of the flake ice machine, and the water is evenly sprinkled on the inner wall of the evaporator through the sprinkler pipe, gradually forming a water film, and the water film and the refrigerant in the evaporator flow channel are heated. Exchange, the temperature drops rapidly, and a thin layer of ice is formed on the inner wall of the evaporator. Under the extrusion of the ice blade, it is broken into pieces of ice, and falls into the ice storage from the ice drop port. The water outlet returns to the cold water tank and passes through the cold water circulation pump.

Application of flake ice machine:
Flake ice has a flat shape and a larger surface area than other types of ice, so the cooling effect is better. The normal surface area of one ton of flake ice is 1579 square meters, and the particle ice can only provide 395 to 1294 square meters, so the cooling efficiency of flake ice is 2-5 times higher than that of particle ice.
